mongolia paperwork for motorcycle
 

hi everyone,
i prepare my next trip to mongolia right now, i'm french and i rode that i have to pre-registrer my bike with the mongolian authority before i go to the borderline !
anyone have information about that ?

nothing to do.....

I didn't have to do anything like that when I went in 2017, crossing in from the north. I think there used to be some issues during the Mongol Rally when entering at Tashanta, as people used to dump their vehicles sometimes, but I did not hear of anything this time from the many Europeans going that way this year.

I have entered Mongolia 3 times with motorcycles, never ever a problem.
Nothing to do except getting there and fill out the temporary import.

I only heard from some people, that if the had "Mongol Rally " stickers on their car, that they asked for deposit.
But that was in the old times, when the rally endet in Ulaanbaatar.
Now it ends in Ulan Ude anyway. Because of the problems with dumped cars and the customs.
