Thanks for that information, really helpful.
I have been trying to find someone who has travelled through Mongolia recently to get an idea of current costs. My Lonely Planet Guide is published 2014 so probably a bit out of date.
We are touring on motorcycles and camping mostly, but trying to get an idea of how much cash per day to allow for food, fuel and the odd night in a ger (how much is a ger per night on average).
Also, is there a charge to enter areas designated as National Parks. All the info on the web is directed at package tours which includes entry.
Thanks guy any info would be much appreciated

ger Camps have different prices.

Blue Wolf in Olgii takes 10 Dollar per person. With Wifi and Showers.

You can also find some for 5 dollar, with no Wifi and showers.

In some special tourist areas you might pay more.

But through the country, you dont always find Ger camps, mostly besides cities or tourist attractions.

food is pretty cheap, you can eat for very few dollars.
Except Ulaanbaatar, this city is expensive.

Benzin is about 60-70cent/ liter.
