mongolia:UB-Tsanganuur, north or south route?

we will be in ulaanbator in a couple of days and then haeding west to tsanganuur. not sure which route should we take. we are travelling on a 3-wheel-vehilce and the clearance is not as high as motorbikes. also not sure about corssing rivers.
would be nice to get informations aobut the nort or the southroute (rivercrossings, track-conditions,.....)

thanks for any information

Daniel: You are heading for some very rough territory. Geoff K. did a good write up of traveling that route here: http://dreamers1.com/russia/Tashanta/Tashanta.htm

The roads are 99% very rough dirt tracks. There are some river crossings, especially in the far west. How high and wide depends a lot on whether there has been recent rain.

I know you have been a long way in your tuk-tuk already, but I would recommend you go back north to Russia on the Ulan Ude road rather than try to exit Mongolia via the west.

We should talk when you get to UB. Hope to see you soon.
