mongolian registered bike accross the border
Hello all,
Anyone has some correct info on getting a mongolian registered chinese motorbike out of mongolia to russia? Lot of rumors that its not possible, cant find any person who managed to do it. First want a clear answer before buying my motorbike(-: Contacted mongoluan embassy and some contacts in UB already, now running short in time.... Anyone got some information? Tnx! |
Having seen the quality of the Chinese stuff for sale in Mongolia, I would question the wisdom of buying a Mong/Chinese bike. :offtopic:
On topic: If the bike is registered in your name, then what's the problem? If it's not, then there is a large problem. |
I might never reach the border indeed on a chinese motorbike(-:
Well, i can only get it registered with mongolian transit plates. Seems weird to me that you can take it out on transit plates, no? Maybe driving a eu registered bike thats in ub back to eu would be better.... |

I guess how far you can get after that depends on the validity of the transit plates elsewhere. |

Hi guys,
Seems that my motorbike plan will be posponed to next year or smthing. Been sick in bed for last days, so running out of time to get it sorted out.... :( Tnx for the help anyway! I ll go back to belgium, get my driving licence and buy an Ural with sidecar(-: |
Nooooo! Is this true?! After months of considering where I'll adventure to next (in Australia now), I finally got excited about buying a cheap Chinese 150cc Mustang and trying to get to Europe on it. I've been looking into registering it and taking it out of Mongolia, without finding a ton of info.
People think it's a no go?? The plan was to stay in Australia until May (year visa) then head to Mongolia in June, 2014. -Elisa travelbugblues.wordpress.com |
