Naadam
 

I am looking for a nice place to enjoy the Naadam festival in Mongolia during my tour in 2019.

The biggest one probably will be in Ulaan Baatar - but I am wondereing if it is the best...

Can anyone give me suggestions about Naadam in smaller places - with less people than in UB please? What about Amarbayasgalant, do they have Naadam there as well?

They have Naadam there anywhere.

But it is not always on the same dates 11-13. july.

Sometimes they have the competitions on different dates.

in 2013 it happened to me, that we came by a few competitions along the way.

It is hard to say where there are good ones.

In UB there was also a Naadam competition late July or beginning of August.
It is good there for fotos.
