Qolma Pass between Murghab and Tashkurgan / Kashgar now seems to be open to foreigners.

With the GBAO region closed to foreign tourists in 2015( I guess it's open up now) and Xin jiang pretty nervous at the moment and this area being near well I am surprised they are letting foreigners cross. Could be difficult with your own vehicle.

As with all new border crossings, the more TCNs cross Kulma,
the more streamlined the process should become.

GBAO was only closed for a couple of weeks in 2015, afaik.
There will always be tensions in that area (as we experienced in 2008), but life goes on.

This doesn't seem correct

Although I was not able to depart on my trip in 2017, I recall my visa had an additional GBAO permit for which I paid a little extra
