No visa necessary to Kazakhstan for 42 more countries
 

Hi All,
I was in the process of applying for my KAZ visa only to notice that there is an announcement on the London Embassy website to say that no visa is necessary for 42 more country's since January 2017 if your stay will be under 30 days. I was on that site less than a month ago and that wasn't posted so its very recent. Happy days!

I crossed the border from Russia to Kazakhstan with a UK passport last October 2016 and got a VOA.
Maybe from January 2017 they have just added more countries to the list.

I think they have just extended it from 19 countries to 42 and that the UK was originally part of the 19. Ireland wasn't but is now :)

They have EXPO in Astana this year and deceided to make life easier for tourists...

Seems like a lot of the central Asia countries are trying to become more tourist friendly - Kyrgyzstan maybe being the 1st to do this. I just got my e-visa and GBAO for Tajikistan. It was so easy and user friendly. Last year I had to send a pile of stuff to the Embassy in London. Great to see this happening.
