North Western Russia
 

Hi, I'm going to north western Russia (Kola Peninsula, Karelia then down to St Petersburg) in September. Has anyone done this area? If so what is it like for accommodation, security, things to do etc as there seams very little on the net? Any advice is welcome!!!!

Spent 2,5 weeks there this summer.
Safety: no problem, usual precautions
Roads: from very good to very bad
Accomodation: wild camping can be done everywhere
Mosquitos: end of August not too bad, but bring some repellent and wear socks in the evening .... :-)

Kola enduro adventure
 

Hello!
I was in Kola peninsula two times, and will bee in next year too. There are very nice and different offload riding possibilities. You can ride by old war roads in tundra, you can ride in mountains tracks, you can pass many rivers (fords), you can be in sand desert, and ride by beach. Excellent enduro possibilities. :funmeteryes:
