Road closed south of Sochi to Georgia?
 

A friend will be riding south out of Sochi, into Georgia the last week of June. Yesterday, he heard the road was closed by landslides. Has anyone heard if this is true? And if so, when repairs may be completed?

If the road is impassible, what would a good alternative be?
