Road from Samarkand to Dushanbe via Anzob Tunnel
 

Has anyone done this road recently and can tell me how it is? And how was the tunnel.

Did it last year, road is very good and the tunnel is finished.
Still dark without lights but ok.

Yes, agree with above.
In our case there was an unlit stationairy truck in there, very convenient. But other than that, the tunnel is fine.

Do you know if the Anzob Pass Road is possible to do it with a motorbike :mchappy:??? The Pass is closed/forbidden?

Or the only option i have is the Anzob Tunnel?

I drove the Anzob twice, and this tunnel is in pretty good condition ( what you can say for these countries, dont compare to Europe ) and the pass might be possible, but what heard from other travellers, its not serviced anymore and in very bad condition.

On you tube 3 guys from Polen where driving over the Anzob Pass in 2019.

Cant find it again, they said it was ok, but they was helping each other with the bad sections of the road. Only 2 wheel can come through, no 4 wheels any more.

They where on Honda XL 650 and BMW 650/800.

It has been 7 years since I was there and the pass road was getting rotten at that time. Keep in mind that you can also run into snow banks. I can not imagine anybody is clearing snow. I was there in August and ran into a snow bank across the road on the north side not far from the pass. It prevented me from traveling any further.
