Hi all,
Found this free app. Very easy to use and understand. A little bit large because it uses video content - download on someone elses wifi? Actually worked for me and will be able to read maps / roadsigns etc. There are android and apple versions for your smartphone.

it actually does only take 3 hours. I learnt it in 3 hours 20 odd years ago. Its only 33 letters ... half of which are the same. Not exactly rocket science
