Russian visa for french with recent events in Crimea
 

Hello everybody,
I've been planning a trip from Paris to south east Asia for the last year, but because of the recent events in Crimea and the conflictual relations between Russia and stupid french gouvernement, I don't know what to expect about russian visa.

I will go through turkey, iran, the stans, and I was supposed to head up to Russia, then Mongolia (and there, fligh to Bangkok).

Does any of you got a Russian visa recently (during the last 2 or 3 weeks) ?
If I can't get a visa, I will have to sell a kidney and cross China.. ?c?

There has been no indication that tourist visas will be affected by the situation in Ukraine, or the related sanctions.

Its not an issue for Irish citizens anyway (And the Russian Ambassador was called in by the Irish Government about Crimea while they were processing my visa application).

I would guess there's no impact on general Tourist or business visas for EU citizens.

I come back from the visa agency, and like you, they are confident about the russian visa. I launch the procedure, we'll see !
