Hi guys,

Assuming they find a new company to take over the Wakkanai-Korsakov ferry route, I'm planning on taking my car over to Sakhalin and maybe driving to Khaborovsk and back next summer.

There is one stretch that worries me a bit, though, and that's the Vanino-Lidoga stretch. Its about 350km according to google, which is beyond the petrol range of my kei van. Anybody done this route and know if there are any gas stations between the two, or where I could possibly get such info??? (Otherwise, might be a case of jerrycans strapped to the roof!!!).

I did that section in July and there was no fuel between Vanino and Lidoga then.

Take jerry cans. Buy plastic cans before that gap in service.
