SEARCHING FOR COMPANY - BORDER CROSSING GEORGIA TO RUSSIA (at the beginning of June)
 

I am looking for other bikers who also plan to enter Russia from Georgia in early June. I want to travel through Dagestan on the fastest route to Kazakhstan, and then head south towards Samarkand and Dushanbe. Originally, there were three of us, but one person's motorcycle broke down and the other found the route too challenging and Russia too risky. However, I still want to travel to the Pamir Mountains and Kyrgyzstan. I would be very happy to meet some friendly people and maybe even find some travel companions!

If you haven't already done so, consider also asking on HU Facebook and especially "Overland to Asia" also on Facebook. A thousand fold more eyes will see it and the later is also region specific.

IMO you would have chances meeting people at Verkhny Lars. Earlier this month I spent 8hr doing temporary bike impotation, met 3 germans during this time. A friend of mine just crossed a couple days ago. It's a pretty busy crossing there's always someone on 2 weels
