I will ride back alone from Mongolia to Spain with a BMW 1200GS Adventure through attached track.

Do you know any good mechanic garage for BMW problems in Altay region, Kazajtan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, address or GPS waypoints. I read something in Almaty there are a good garage.

Or some place that I can send by DHL a piece of my moto to replace.

There is really only one bike workshop in the whole Stans ... Motors in Almaty (aka My Town Motors) run by Leonid, and his young chief mechanic Sergei.

Bikers in the other stans all tend to be self fix-it kinda guys, or get stuff done via car mechanics.

There is a lot more biking activity in Russia however, with bike mechanics in Barnaul or Novosibirsk ... but that would mean you dont take the interesting back roads through the Altai.

Another question, In Mongolia I try to cross from Tsetserleg and Bayanhongor to Almaty (see my track). I saw in your web than you cross through Tosontsengel and Uliastay To Almaty, Is my track posible? Is your track better?
