I plan to ride with a BMW 650Gs Dakar and camping most of time.

I’ll fly (me and bike) from Montreal and start the trip from Paris.

I plan to ride Europe, East Europe then Scandinav countries dont know yet
if ill go to iceland (we’ll see the $) after cross through Russia to visit Mongolia, China, India et heading to Indonesia we’ll see after what happen.

No disrespect, but I think your question(s) need to be a lot more specific!

To get 'general info' you could learn a lot just browsing this (and other) forums, and reading up on topics that the your fancy.

Hi Nic, nice trip you have planed there :thumbup1:.
Do you know about the difficulties when trying to ride with your own vehicle through China? It is possible, but needs special permissions, you need to make a Chinese drivers license, maybe even need to have a Chinese guide permanently with you etc. ... PITA and very expensive procedure what I've heard of.
The most awkward thing about this situation is, that if one wants to go to southeast-Asia from the north or west, there is only China or (even worst) Afghanistan/Pakistan that needs crossing.

I ride a F650GS Dakar myself. The Rotax engine is good, but there are a lot of other things on the bike that are rubbish and should get addressed for a trip like that :rolleyes2:.
