I am happy to get as much information about the road surface.

As I wrote, I am thinking about using studded tires.
But that makes no sense if the road is snow and icefree ( what I do not expect )

With cars, the rationale is to use studded tyres where there will be black ice, and unstudded tyres where there will be only snow.

Very few of the highways will be clear of snow and ice, and the weather can change very quickly (sudden snowstorms, or warm periods where everything starts to melt again and then re-freezes making roads extremely dangerous) so on a bike I would definitely go with studded tyres.
