Enfield front brake
 

One of my friends is restoring an Royal Enfield 350 Bullet but he has a problem with his front brake.

The aluminum strip on the front fork that fits in a slot in the brake anchor plate does not fit. It comes only a milimeter in the slot to we are afraid that when he had to brake, it will come out and lock the front wheel.

Could anyone please show a picture or drawing how it should be ?

It would help if one of the Enfield owners on the HUBB would take a picture of their front brake (from the same viewpoint as my picture) and post it here or PM it to me.

It might be worth checking to make sure that there is not a spacer on the wrong side of the wheel spindle or some one has added one by mistake moving the wheel over, the brake locking peg should be further into the slot than it is. Skip
