Hi Myke,
It was sold in the US as a Sears Allstate in the 1960s. It's the "twingle" engine: 2 piston, single cylinder. I had one of those. I've had a lot of the "catalog bikes". I've got a few Montgomery Ward bikes (Benelli), and the parts to build a Sears (Gilera). One's in my living room right now. Parts aren't that hard to find. They don't sell for much on eBay. email me, and I can point you to sites, since these aren't really the overland bike of choice. --Dave |

Puch 250 SG
Hi guys... I have a Puch 250 SG 1960 and I am trying to find as much information as I can about this bike and all 250 Puch models. I know this topic is prety old .. as our bikes I guess .. so I would like you guys to know I just created a blog dedicated to these beautifull bikes. Puch250’s Weblog
Feel free to send me any question of share your thoughts and I will do my best to update the blog with as many information as I can gather. |
Those are one of my favorite bikes. Seeing the film on your site makes me wish I had restored it instead of getting it in parts and letting it go in parts. Maybe I'll buy my friend's DKW which is pretty close to that and fix it up. After India of course. Oh, and I need to fix up an H-modified race car too. Sometimes (once in a rare while), I'll actually complete one of my projects.
