Thanks Grizzly
I am very fond of the old beast, I will get it finished one day! Merry Christmas Bruce |
Not finished but maybe for sale? Cheeky :)
Having no knowledge of such things, can I please ask what engine, how many mpg and what sort of comfy cruising speed? Axle diff locks? Is it registered as a camper in the UK yet? (assuming that's where it is?) How long have you been working on it up to now?! I would like to maybe end up with one of these at some point in the future so pm me if you think a bit more of selling at some point?! Happy Christmas to you too! Jason |

Hi Jason
It is finished and has been on a 5 month trip, I just want to paint a few things and fix the water heater which I never got working as it was 40 C in Africa and hot water was the last thing we needed! It is a 4 litre straight 4 doing 20 to the gallon, it will cruise at 50 mph but I tend to stick to 40 in Africa as I am in no hurry. It is registered as a camper and has rear and centre diff locks. I am looking at fast diffs from a 4x2 but have a bit more research to do yet (not sure if the front axle is the same) We are in Bristol if you fancy a beer and a look, but probably not for sale yet as another trip has passed scrutiny by the management. Cheers Bruce |
Hi
Are you still thinking of selling ? Chris |
Van to go
Hi Chris
I have been planning a trip over to Georgia and back around Scandinavia. This is now happening next year, and although we don't really need 4x4, we have decided that being fairly high and very secure has it's advantages. Try me again around the end of 2021 if you are still looking (it took me 2 years to find this one!) Bruce |
