Unimog 4x4 Expedition Camper / Motorhome - 4wd UK
Based on a U1000T/Zweiweg, 1983, but has only 900 hours approx. on the engine and less than 20,000 miles on the clock. Dry stored for years when not in use. Engine is 5.7l straight six turbo diesel, coupled to an eight speed box. Also features hydrostatic drive, handy for tight spaces. Front axle is standard Unimog with cross axle difflock, rear axle is a HD truck axle on air suspension, but no difflock. The Unimog is fitted with a hydraulic pump, dual spool valves with outlets piped to front and rear and a “fast drive” type PTO, which may suit a generator or similar.
Motor home box features four additional seats with belts for driving (seats seven in all), four burner hob, sink, compressor fridge (no gas needed), CD player, table, large house battery, 40A marine grade charger, Webasto diesel heater and space to sleep five good friends. (We are a family of five.) The box is built on all sides, roof and floor of an alloy, marine ply, foam (2 inches), marine ply, GRP laminate and so is very well insulated and tough. The box is lined throughout with carpet. A very heavy duty awning made from a military heavy duty frame tent is available separately.
The Unimog has never been on an expedition or off-road since I have had it, except across a sticky camp site. We have bought a caravan to save the cost of the road tax, insurance etc on the Unimog and so the Unimog is reluctantly for sale. The Unimog was built to last a lifetime, it was never my intention to sell it.

I will also consider offers for the chassis cab only. In this case I will retain the motor home box, which I will convert into a caravan.
To be sold with a new MOT. I’m not absolutely sure about the tax remaining. Payment shall be cash on collection unless agreed otherwise in advance.
