Hi Matt,
I did exactly the same thing myself, in getting to the top and having a very restricted view. There was a small gap where you could squeeze a camera and that was about your lot. I'd have liked to been up there during the night, as I'm sure the results would've been fantastic. First we have a view of the building itself, with the viewing point (that's a laugh) easily visible. http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...64111small.jpg Followed by the view itself. http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...64291small.jpg |

Hi Matt,
with a bit of support I can see the location giving great night time shots. The odd thing is, I've only been to the area twice myself and both times it was windy, so I couldn't get the reflective results I was hoping for. That's a project for 2008 then! |

There seem to be problem with your tacho, or speedo :oops2: or did you pull the clutch? |
Hi Alibaba,
as the shot was taken hand held, and the shutter release is on the usual righthand side, them my only option was to pull in the clutch and coast along, whilst taking the shot. At least I picked a straight road in Norway to take the shot! You can just see two of the others of the group in the distance. |

Hi Alibaba,
the further North we went the less Police we saw! In fact from about 200km's North of Bergen, all the way to Nord Cap, we only saw a single Police car! As for the speed, well in Latvia I was motoring along at an indicated 220kph, OK it was down hill, with the wind behind but it's still not bad for a heavily laden R1200GS. |
Love the Salford photos. Not mentioning the beautifully immodest ladies.:thumbup1:
I like the military shots too. Were you imbedded with the units featured? Or just photographing them on an ad hoc basis? I have a couple of my own, not up to your standard, but I thought I would share. If my expertise on the computer has not let me down! Fingers crossed, en sha allah, there are three attachments on this post! Happy Riding Joel |
Hi Birdy,
the military shots were taken for a local newspaper. The Salford one's were part of the launch of the new Landrover Discovery and I went walkabouts. The ladies were for pleasure! Thanks for your post, really appreciate input to our forum and your images. |
