MotoAventura - Santiago, Chile

Just a post to alert others to a great bike shop / travel company that I came across while in Santiago.


MotoAventura (as the name suggests) is primarily a bike hire / touring company, and it's an official BMW partner in Chile for that purpose - the relevance of that is that it reassuringly implies certain quality standards.


In addition to the services, they:

• Sell a good range of the kind of high-quality equipment that's not easy to track down in South America (tyres, helmets, clothes, repair kits, lights, panniers, etc - and good international brands at that - Rotopax, Hepco and Becker, Heidenau, etc)
• Have a mechanic at the site to service and repair bikes

I took my bike to them twice for a combination of pre-trip preparation and maintenance.


Though they're by no means a workshop, they listened to what I needed, did everything that I asked, and went out of their way to source every part that they didn't have from across Santiago. I was thoroughly impressed - excellent service.
