25,500km's - Victoria, BC, Canada to Yaviza, Panama And Back

I just arrived back home in Victoria, BC, Canada after my solo trip to Yaviza, Panama and back. For those who are interested I have a blog at www.scrabblebiker.com. There's also a possibility that I many be making a presentation at the HU meeting in Nakusp BC this summer. The Bike: 2007 BMW F650GS Distance: 25,500km's Time frame: 12 weeks (way too short) Longest day: 785km's in northern Mexico Typical day: 250 to 350km's Countries visited: 9 Borders crossed: 16 Mechanical difficulties: brake light stuck on and nothing else Pulled over by cops: 3 times (1 bogus, 1 legitimate, 1 stretching it a bit) Tickets received: 0 Warnings received: 1 (Idaho - justified) Bribes paid: 1 ($5 - Nicaragua - stretching it a bit) Bribes refused to pay: 1 (Honduras - bogus) Bad people encountered: 0 Nice, friendly, helpful people encountered: too many to count Things I wished I had left at home: Camping and cooking gear Favourite country: 9 way tie.
