8 days around Annapurna, Nepal
Here is a very brief account of our blast around a good proportion of the Annapurna Circuit, starting in Pokhara. This was an eventful trip, riddled with breakdowns, a number of punctures, a few drops but a wealth of warmth and support from the locals.

Peter, you need to do a presentation on this at HUBB UK! It's a perfect mini-trip - something almost anyone can squeeze in - and with your great photos would be fantastic!

Grant - I'd more than happy to do a presentation and convey some vital lessons learnt, however am sadly busy that weekend. Next year perhaps?!

These photos look stunning. It's one of my very big dreams to ride in the Himalayas. You mentioned you were able to collect the 250cc Crossfires from Pokhara. Can you shed some more light on this? Was this an organised tour, or did you rent the bikes? Could you kindly forward the company/prices? Once again, thank you very much for sharing! Best, Alex |

They don't offer bike rentals any more, but I gather that other companies rent them out too. Hearts and Tears MC offer the bikes on organised tours with backup only now. I must admit that if I did the trip again, I would rent the actual Honda CRF250 that the Crossfire is based on, but you can only do this from Kathmandu seemingly. Price is about $60 per day. MFal - Thanks! They were taken with either my iPhone 7 or Canon 5D Mk3 with 17-40mm f4 L. |
