Let me give some advice to anyone planning to travel this road to enter Mongolia from the west: try to plan your trip by calculating short distances in this area. We arrive at the border at 15.00 and move ourselves pretty well between the various offices, but everything is pretty slow and we go out from the Russian side just after 17.00: the border closes shortly after, and today we are the last to pass.
