Germany to Indonesia with a klx250s

Well, this is my small adventure blog about my trip to Indonesia. I started 4 days ago from Germany with my klx250s. The duration of this trip will be around 11 months, so that I have enough time for sightseeing and relaxing. My English is not the best, but I try my best to narrate a bit of my travel experiences and stories.
Just for those, who are interested in: I am 24 years old, finished my bachelor and therefore I do a kind of gap year before starting with my master.

I started from Landshut with my fully loaded KLX250 (2009 EFI).

Modifications:
Handlebar Risers (My clutch cable was too short for that, so I bought the clutch cable for the KLX300, which fits perfectly)
Wider Handlebars
No Name Handguards
Skidplate
Luggage Rack
Scottoiler eSystem

The weather wasn’t that good, so first stop was Kärnten (Austria). I was the only one on the camping ground.
From there I went to Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro. Right now I am in Budva. I only took country roads, because my klx250 runs just 110 km/h without any tuning with all luggage, but nevertheless the serpentines especially in Slovenia and Croatia were fantastic.

This week I want to try some (noob) offroad in Albania, because I havent done that before. Learning by doing :helpsmilie: ^^

Until now I did not take so many photos, but I will change my habit of being a lazy photographer :D

To be continued...

PS: Just contact me, if you are somewhere arround and up for one, two or more beers.

And I still need to figure out, how I can set comments to each picture doh

Well, I finally reached Istanbul. I made a small video, its not good at all, but I will improve my cutting skills.
Please leave any comment, so next time I can do it better. (like showing my tour on an animated map)

Hey man!
That's a cool idea!
How was Istanbul? I love the city!
I'm wondering, where in the world are you now?
How are you going to get to Indonesia? What places are you planning to visit?
Make sure you don't miss Java and Bali, absolutely stunning views.
Looking forward to updates!!!

Hey moosi,

I've been looking for the perfect bike to a similar trip on. Unfortunately quite a few are not allowed in the Uk (OR EU) as you are probably aware. I was just wondering if you would recommend the bike?

Where there any major issues or change you would make.

I am planning on riding to South Africa next year.

Thanks!

Hi Paul

I can recommend this bike. If you have some money left, I would rather go for a yam wr250r. I rode the wr250r from Germany to Cameroon this year and all in all it is a better bike than the klx. The Klx is a reliable, an easy to fix bike, but when it comes to suspension, cruising speed and offroad, the yamaha is way better ;)
If you need any further information, let me know.
Cheers,
Moosi
