Could you clarify for me, please? What happens to money donated on the site you link? Who does it go to? What do they do with it? Where do they report? Etc.
Maybe I'm dense, but I don't see any of this. Clarifying might work to your benefit. Thanks. Mark |
London to Johannesburg .20,000km for our wounded servicemen..
Hi all,
Fair question about donations. ALL donations go straight to Help for Heroes. And are attributed to London 2 Johannesburg. An Idiot Got Bored. Slow Way Down. Every penny donated, can be seen on the Donation Page going in to the " pot ". i.e the total raised going up. I at NO stage see or touch the money. Help for Heroes is a registered charity. Who house, assist, rehabilitate and provide high end medical help for wounded servicemen. Most of whom have lost limbs. The end objective is to have the wounded walking again and having a " normal " life. By providing prosthetic limbs, therapy and suitable surroundings. The Ministry Of Defense have provided Help for Heroes ( H4H ) with unused property, that was in poor condition. Some of the donations have gone to repair these properties too. But,the MOD only charge £1 per year to lease. So everyone is a winner. Just to reiterate. Along with sponsors, I am funding this challenge myself. At a cost of some £20,000 ( $33,000 ). Including lost income and direct costs. There is a TEAM FUEL donate button on the right of the blog page attached below. I'm just a regular guy, its a massive cost to me this challenge. So, if anyone wants to pay for a gallon, that's great by me. It's just staying in a Paypal account. Marked London 2 Johannesburg. I shall dedicate that part of the journey ( how ever long fuel donated lasts ), to that person. And believe me...im going to moan at you via the blog all the way down. :scooter: Just for fun and banter. I hope that covers it all. Any questions..fire at Will Help for Heroes charity page for the 20,000km challenge. London to Johannesburg by 125 cc motorbike!! An Idiot Got Bored. Slow Way Down blog. An Idiot Got Bored.
