Problems in Peru
Two years ago I had to leave my beemer with friends in Lima and go back to NYC for medical reasons. My bike is now illegal and technically property of the gov. of Peru. This is really only on a computer as my bike is safely stored away. I have appealed the customs ruling in the courts but am told it may take 4 years + for a decision so I am wondering if anyone has had experience in "back road crossings" out of Peru.Any experience is welcome.
