Leaving Antigua, I made a wrong turn in Guatemala city and stopped for an excellent and cheapish meal. Got good, simple directions and was on my way...

Doing a hotel search, I found free camping with these, nice enough, guys, stoned and throwing firecrackers. I found a room for $30us(three night min) so.... I cruised down the road anbout 15 miles and got a room for $15us

Can you see the thin coating of wet clay? It is easier to drop your bike in Copan than anywhere I've ever been. Really. Parking , tired , stones missing. etc. I grunted loudly but did not drop my tall top heavy, overloaded bike. A few people commented on my brute strength.
