Two up on a KLR
I took a bunch of ess for even conceiving the idea of my wife and I on a klr 650 but we did it...or compromised and met half way...she flying into Guat. city and picking her up there, the both of us meandered down to San Jose Costa Rica. Would we do it again, you ask? No. That being said, it was my third trip down thru Mexico, Mazatlan is way cool, and my wife never does any one trip twice. She has a been there, done that attitude. Besides, I found a gringo in Granada, Nic. that wanted the bike and the thought of getting on a plane and flying home over riding the KLR north? Well, you be the judge of that. So I weenied out and took the plane. Good decision. Cut the trip down to 35 days instead of 2 months. Okay with me. Besides, I have a new V-strom in the garage, which is way smoother and the next trip will be north to Alaska. The trip was epic, as all moto trips are. OOOH....but the borders.....all who done that can testify....It can be trying. Look forward to going north. David:cool4:
