The structure in the background in Segovia, Spain, is a Roman aquaduct built in the first century AD of granite blocks with no mortar or clamps holding it together.One of the greatest surviving examples of Roman engineering.

Aqueduct
Thanks Deolali, yep, I got that was Roman aqueduct spelled with an e not an a the fourth photo was of the bridge. I sat and stared at that aqueduct for most of an hour. One of the most impressive structures I have encountered.
