Western States Motorcycle Adventure
 

In mid-August of last year, I took off on a month-long trip. I rode an '07 R1200GS Adventure. The TransAmerica Trail was my primary guide, picking it up in Trinidad, CO and following it all the way to the coast. I skipped some of the very sandy sections in Utah and altered direction a bit through Nevada to take a detour up to Idaho, but for the most past I stuck to the route. Some of the sections were impassible on such a large, loaded bike, but the whole trip was a blast.
