Advice needed on shipping from Ghana,Benin or Togo to Namibi
On the 1st August we are leaving UK to travel down through France, Spain into Morocco, Mauritania (if the border has reopened!) and on into Ghana. If the Chad/Sudan border is still closed we are considering sailing from Ghana (Benin or Togo)in October down to Walvis Bay in Namibia. Has anyone done this? I've heard that the trip can be done in 5 days and you can accompany your vehicle on the boat. So far I have not found the company that does this! Any advice on shipping, gratefully received! Vicky

Hi, We' have heard from a friend of a friend who lives in Ghana that Black Star Lines sail cargo ships that you can go on aswell as your vehicle from Tema to Gabon Cameroon and S africa, They probably stop at Namibia too on route. I don't know how long it takes but they're meant to be quite cheap. The phone no. is in the Lonely Planet Africa I think. good luck GIlland Daz

Has anyone found anything further on Black Star Lines? I have been unable to find anything about a current shipping line in Africa called that.
