ALASKA - BEIJING- MONGOLIA-TIBET-NEPAL=Tips for an Aussie
 

Gday from Australia,

I am looking at going from Alaska (fly to Beijing) ride from there north across the border into Mongolia and then from there down through Tibet and into Nepal.

I have a few questions like:
Is this a ridiculous idea due to the terrain?
Does anyone have any routes or have done anything like this before?
I am not sure but i am hoping to buy a bike in Beijing and ride it from there.
I have a general route but any advice would be happily taken!!!
