Albania and Montenegro
 
I am planning a trip back from the Dardenelles (Turkey) to Trieste (Italy) and I am wanting to do it along the coast roads if possible. Does anyone no what the roads are like through Albania and Montenegro. I am guesing that when I reach Dubrovnik it is all very straight forward but unsure of Albania/Montenegro and not exactly doing the trip on a knobbly tyre type of bike.

Any advice would be appreciated

The road through Albania and all of the way up to coast to Rijeka is good and perfectly drivable on any bike.

Hi Dave, in Albania at the moment, the main roads are suprisingly good but with some pot holes, back roads can be pretty bad. Montenegro tomorrow via some dirt trails. Andy

We (Belle and Nadsicles) did this last year, and we were surprised at how good the roads are. However, they do get a bit slippery when wet, so be careful on knobblies.:thumbup1:
