Any caravan sites around Linderud (N Oslo)
I am looking for a touring caravan site aprox 20 km north of Oslo.
The area is around Linderud, so anything say 20km radius would be O.K. Graham |
Linderud is in Oslo, approx 7 km north of city center.
I guess your visit is workrelated or personal, Linderud is not a typical tourist-place, just an ordinary suburb with some industry. There are three camp sites in Oslo: Bogstad Camp & Turistsenter - Campingplass sentralt i Oslo Situated west in Oslo, 17 km from Linderud Ekeberg Oslo City Camp Situated East in Oslo, 8 km from Linderud ||| Oslo Fjord Camping ||| Situated South east in Oslo, 16 km from Linderud I’ve never camped at any of the places, just passed them from time to time. There is also a hotel at Linderud (Norwegian txt only): Hotell i Oslo - Thon Hotel Linne Oslo |
Hi Alibaba,
Yup, you right. Not a pleasure trip. But have to make it as cheap as possible. Have priced up a few serviced appartments, and nearly fell off my chair in the process. Looking at about NOK15000 a month. read it as £1500 a month and it soon hits home. I have a nice 5 berth touring caravan, and was looking to save some cash, by paying "Pitch fees" instead of renting an appartment. How do you know Linderud so well, may i ask? Graham |

This is the way I used to get money for my travels, I rented out my apartment. It is possible to park your caravan somewhere in the woods for free, but then it will be pretty lonely and to find a nice place you might need to go a lot further then 20 km. There is a lot of forest around Oslo but most is closed for vehicles, you are free to walk or use a bicycle. I would guess that Fjord Camp is the cheapest option if you want to stay for a while. It’s maybe not the fanciest place but sea is close and the surroundings are nice. One of Oslos best motorcycle roads go by, there is a open meeting every Wednesday a few kms south. If you fancy bikes (or people) you should go there, lots of people. It is mostly Tupperware-bikes (RR-street bikes), but still okay if the weather is nice. Quote:
I’ve lived 5-6 km north of Linderud for more or less 25 years, now I live 10km north. Linderud is on my way to Oslo city. |
So I have found "A man in the know"
Do you speak Norwegian? |
