Any good roads/routes to recommend south of Hamburg?

Firstly,as this is my first post,,,topsite.Secondly, sorry for short notice for my request.
This sunday i'm meeting friends at midday for a music festival, south of Bremmen.Rather than travel by car i thought i'd leave a day earlier and try out a few decent roads.I was thinking mainly within Hamburg,Hannover and back across to The Netherlands were i live.
In the past i've got off the autobahn several times and each time was a treat.Maybe i've been lucky,i dunno.
So i'm looking for much of the same please, maybe i'm missing even better roads up there in the Bremen area.

Hmmm, N Germany isn't exactly biking country, being mostly flat. If you haven't got any decent maps of the area I suggest you go to www.viamichelin.com and pan through the area a little. Look out for relief and road with green lines beside them. They are not displayed in all resolutions, so you may have to zoom in.

SW of Hanover looks nice on the map, but that is probably too far out of the way for you. The rest...

Salut from Southern France, the bikers' paradise,

Peter.

Thanks Beddhist,i'll give it a try later.
Yeah,i know what you mean with that area being just a continuation of The Netherlands. But sometimes you do get the odd gem on flatter landscapes, nice tarmac, smooth sweeping bends, and hopefully not too much traffic.
Lucky man, south of France eh.Been there a few times, and enjoyed every visit.Done a couple of Bol D'or bashes then on the last visit to Paul Ricard we spent a week touring or should i say blasting(i was young then)around the southern part of France.
So,time to check these maps out.
salut

HI folks, there are some great routes there. If u go south from Hamburg, try to go thru the so called Lueneburger Heide. Its very nice there. From Hannover, go direction to Hildesheim (my hometown) and take the road going thru Hameln to Paderborn. From there u can go easily back to the Netherlands and its a nice country road. If u need a place to sleep in Hildesheim, just drop me an email-
