Any tips and contacts for antarctica..
In need of tips for antarctica from Chile on bike to realise a project of a presentation for youths.
Biker friend is in Argentina/Uruguay currently and all tips, advices, etc. requested and welcome with many thanks.. Best Wishes.. |
Not really sure what you're asking here. If you want to get to Antarctica relatively cheaply or, for example, by sail I've got one or two contacts which might interest you. If you're trying to bring a motorbike there, I can't say I'm interested in helping make that possible.
I'm away from home (and contacts lists) for another week or so, but will pay attention to any clarification you offer here. best, Mark |
Thanks for replies.
Planned program is to be there and back together with the bike and flag within a month, not to ride there. Inf. needed is how to get there,or get in touch with a recommended captain, and where to apply and how for any permission and paperwork if may be needed. My Turkish friend Namık is in La Paloma currently and will ride to Buenos a few days later. All the best.. |
Mehmet - you could contact Steph Jeavons - a British girl currently in Mexico - who is riding her Honda CRF 250L through all seven continents.
Steph did the Antarctica section back in February this year (2015), and arranged transport to that southermost continent on a private sail-boat from Ushuaia. Her motorcycle was returned to Puerto Williams (Chile) on-board a Russian Ice Breaker. She may be able to help .. and can be contacted via her blog: One Steph Beyond Hope helps. Big selams... Keith |
