Around the Med and on to Indonesia
 

Hi all,

We were planning to go home to NZ overland from Europe, probably the end of next year. We'd also like to see Egypt, so I thought we could go around the med.

Seems it's going to be more complicated than I thought:

Apparently, the border between Morocco and Algeria is closed.

It seems, from what I've read, next to impossible to pass through Lybia.

No ferries from Europe to Egypt.

Any suggestions which way we could go, other than Turkey and then backtracking?

You can start from Tunisia and head east. Lybia is not impossible, it just depends on the political situation. Drop me a line when you reach Ciaro...
