Best route: Buenos Aires to Iguasu Falls
I'll be leaving next week to return to Buenos Aires and continue my trip north through Brazil, Venezuela, and Colombia (then back to Panama where I live).
I'm looking for suggestions on the best route from BA to Iguasu Falls, and suggestions on places to see or stay on the way. I note that the Brazilian real has gotten very expensive vs the US dollar recently, so am trying to economize somewhat. |
Rosario
One route takes you through Rosario, Argentina. I spent a few months there last winter and loved it. If you go through there on the way it's worth stopping. There's a nice park along the river and "Parque Indenpentance" is nice as well. For U$S 3.00 you can take a 2 hour boat ride up the river with some nice views of the city and the bridge to Victoria. The downtown area and Orono Ave are also very nice and relaxing. The women are among the most beautiful in the world and a person coulds spend hours there for that reason alone!
If you go through on a Sunday the "Rosario Moto Club" will have several vintage bikes on display on the corner of Santiago Street and Wheel Wright Ave. (along the park at the rivers edge.) I'm talking some very nice bikes! There's also Kiak rentals at Florida Beach. The website "LA2BA.com" has some photos of the area. The town is expensive though.:palm: |
