Best time to do Pamir Hwy

What do you suggest, what is the best time of year to ride Pamir Hwy? I am planning my coming trip from Finland to Bali, and wish to include Pamir to my trip. Is September too late and too cold?

How long is a piece of string?

You don't know what the weather will be like, unseasonably warm or cold. The best months are the warmest ones - July/August but even then it's a game of probabilities.

Any idea how it will be there in May/June? I'm starting a trip on may 20th from Bishkek on my bike. Via Pamir Hwy, Russia, Turkye, Ukrain, Northcape
