Best time of the year to leave Europe to Asia or South Africa

I am planing a trip for 2019 but i am unsure what is best month of the year to leave Europe for South Africa or Asia.

I am trying to avoid rainy season ( if any ) and extreme hot weather. I am not traveling on budget or with any time limit.

My thinking was leaving UK end September so that i am mid/late October in Turkey and/or Iran and December in India and after down to South Asia until Feb - April.

Or

Leaving end Sep and going down thru Africa until i reach Cape Town. I am unsure of any rainy season in Africa as did not fix route yet... but your general advice on what would be best month of the year to leave Europe or best month of the year to be in Asia /Africa is highly welcomed!

Late September might be a little too late for Asia, early would be better with less risk of bad weather in Eastern Turkey and Iran but it would of cooled down nicely by then.

Depending on your route and the amount of time you plan to spend in different locations. South and east Europe can still be very hot in August and the same go for the Stans. But in September it should begin to cool down there.

Going to southeast-Asia I would recommend leaving around August plus/minus sometime. Rainy season in Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, west coast Malaysia normally starts May/June and ends in september/october. August and September are often the wettest months. With some variations of course, south Thailand can have quite wet weather until November.
East cost Malaysia and most of Indonesia usually have wet weather from October until March/April.

Best time for southeast Asia is from November until March I would say. No wet and not too hot...:scooter:

I'm also interested in what would be the best month(s) to arrive in Egypt/Sudan? Will be traveling along the east side of Africa down to South-Africa. What would you suggest? We're not in a hurry to get to South-Africa though..

I left the UK in July and arrived in South Africa in January. It was almost perfect. Sudan was very hot in but everywhere else was perfect temperatures and mostly dry. I got a lot of rain in Malawi but the rains are heavy and last a couple of days then give plenty days of dry weather afterwards.

The weather is always a gamble. Just be prepared for all eventualities. Apart from the cold. You won't be cold ;)
