Botswana park fees
We're going to be exploring Africa for a year or so starting this november. Official Botswana National Parks websites claim you absolutely must have a reservation to enter national parks (and want to stay at their campsites). Sounds a bit iffy....
Anyone have recent experience? (traveling by truck) |
Reservation Nat Parks
Hi there
from experience I know that for example to stay over night at the camp sites in the Moremi National Park you will first have to book and pay all the sites ahead in Maun at the different offices. This because the camp sites belong to private operators. Only once you have all your reservations done, then you can and go and get your entrance ticket to the park and the respective office also in town. Sounds a bit complicated but can be solved within a half a day in Maun. Not sure though if they will let you in with a truck.... Greets Claudio |
Thanks Claudio!

@Moremi:
We just drive into the campsite, there was a slot free. If you enter the campsite late (4 o clock), you can`t leave the park during daylight - and you can stay there tooo :smartass: Per car it was 50 USD / Night (for nothing else than a legal space to camp & toilet & shower). There is enough space. The Parkfee itself is cheap |
