I rode Junín-Colombia all around 60° West Meridian, is a difficult way, lot of tropical forest, rivers, and mosquitos !!! |
I'm not sure on the route yet but we would be very greatful of somewhere to stay for a night if you are around when we are in Argentina.
Is it possible to travel from Panama to Columbia on roads/tracks? Thanks, Suzie :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
No, don´t is possible. Panamá-Colombia only plane or ship. I never went that way but I think take 3/4 days in a ship for 800/1000 dollars

Canada to SA
Hi Susie:
Just thought I'd send a shout out to you. I am also planning a Canada to SA trip in 2017. I live in Vancouver BC and my plan is to leave from Vancouver, in mid 2017 and head south, riding a KTM 690. I don't have any riding mates at this time, so it may be an idea to keep in contact, if for no other reason than we could share planning ideas. Cheers, Rob |

Canada to Argentina advice

Hi! That sounds good. We are still planning our route and we've had a few suggestions for good place to go. It would be great to keep in contact. We do hope to land in Toronto (May 2017) and then travel over to Washington area before heading south....watch this space! Also need to apply for longer in USA as didn't realise the VWF for 90 days also includes your time in Mexico! Big bummer. At least a long time to plan. :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Sounds amazing, an epic journey! If we are in the same country at some point then maybe meet up? See how our travels take us! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Hello Susie,
Hope the trip was a huge success! My partner and I are planning a very similar trip from Toronto down to Argentina then back up. I’m currently researching the paperwork needed (for us! Visas etc). Could you give me any advice please? We too would be looking to re-enter countries as we make the trip back up to Alaska. Thank you so much! Lauri |
It's a tough call between the 250 and the 650. I had a Chinese 250 in Peru and absolutely could (and did) go anywhere. Didn't really have a problem on the PamAm and was able to keep up with the traffic although I was in the right/slow lane. PamAm was pretty boring so only was on it when absolutely needed to. At altitude and on a steep climb, the 250 was pretty slow but I always got where I needed to go. Met a friend with a 650 down there and there were only a few road that he couldn't go on. While I'd get a 250 if I went back, I could do it on a 650 and also enjoy myself.
I think that either bike will make for a great trip. |
