Car rego nationality different from Passport nationality
Hi
I have two nationalities, would it be an issue to drive with a car registered in country No1. and with a passport from Country No2., but with a drivers licence fromm Country No1.? I have no drivers licence from country No.2. This is related to Russia, Mongolia and Central Asian countries. Country No1. is non-EU Country No.2 is EU Reason I ask, is because there might be advantages using passport from Country No.2. Thank you David |
Why would there be a problem? There are lots of people who live and own vehicles in countries in which they are not citizens.
I am a US citizen with a US license and rode a Russian-registered bike to Mongolia, Kazakhstan, and Kirgyzstan. No issues whatsoever. |
Yeah, should be no problem. Remember, in the post-Soviet space it's not unusual at all for people to live in one country, but be citizens of another, or sometimes even have no citizenship at all.
