I am hoping that this will be a starter for people like myself to get some definitive answers...

Where do you get a Carnet From?
e.g. for a UK registered bike?

How much do they cost?
e.g. how is it worked out?

What actually is a Carnet?

This is more about the document and the process rather than the countries that might or might not actually require one....

Google "RAC Carnet"

The RAC handle carnets and their website gives you all the indormation, prices and forms.

All the info you need is on the left under Planning > Paperwork. There is also a useful page on wikipedia which contains, among other things, a list of countries requiring it.
