Casablanca to Dahkla:on to Mauritania

Wondering the fastest way to get from Casablanca to Dahkla? I am traveling alone from Casablanca to Mali via the Mauritania route. It will be my first trans sahara crossing: any advice is welcome and helpful.

Oh forgot to mention I will be on foot....Wondering about public transportaion etc. if there is a direct route bus etc?
