Central & South America Tour Route
 

Hello all,
I am planning a ten month journey from the north west U.S. through Central America and down to South America and back again. I have a few ideas of where I'd like to go and how I'd like to get there, but I'd love to hear your suggestions. Also, does anyone know of good websites to measure distances for a trip like this? For some reason, google maps isn't working for me.

Same here. I am trying to find a good online mapping resource for route creation in Central America.

I do not mind using paper maps but I am most used to digital.

I've not found any online routing source but I've been using Mapsource from Garmin along with free routable maps of South America.

GoogleMaps and MapQuest are no help, but I found that Bing aka WindowsLive will route you all the way to TDF free of charge.

I have found good paper maps at Lourne, with accurate distances.. :thumbup1:

Lourne??? I did try Bing and it works! Nice planning tool. You can even download the route to your GPS or print out a paper map!
