Crossing to Belize from Guatemala and returning.
Hello,
I am in Guatemala at the moment. I want to go to Belize and return, after two weeks, to Guatemala. I read on Wikitravel that if you get your TIP, for Guatemala, cancelled you have to stay out of the country for 90 days. Question: Is this true, does anyone know??? Do I have to cancel the TIP if I enter Belize and return??? Many thanks... Vince bier |
[QUOTE=guzzi vince;581151]Hi,
As a matter of interest for anyone else with the same question, it is possible to temporarily suspend the TIP on the Guatemalan Border and reactivate it on entering the country again. I had posted the same question on the "Pan American travellers association" page on Facebook and got that tip. I am now in Belize and they just stamped my TIP with a stamp saying Temporarily suspended. So all seems to be well. Stay safe Vince bier Tiger 800 XC travel blog – Riding the Pan American Highway |
